Kebnekaise's debut was originally
intended as a Kenny Håkansson solo album. In retrospect, that would
have made as much sense as releasing it as Kebnekaise. It's very
different to anyhting they subsequently released, far removed from
the folk rock the group is known for and closer to hard rock with
Hendrix influences spilling over from Håkansson's and bassist Bella
Linnarsson's days with Baby Grandmothers and Mecki Mark Men. It's an interesting artefact, highlighted by ”Frestelser i stan”,
but the energy is sometimes exhausting. All in all, it's not up to the group's later standards.
